Sustainable Finance Research Project

This project examines the growth of ESG funds within Canada’s investment industry, comparing them to non-ESG and energy sector funds. It covers the creation process of an ESG fund, the role of ESG issues and metrics in portfolio construction, and the significance of ESG ratings. Additionally, it assesses various ESG investment strategies employed by asset managers and investigates the frequency of ESG-related shareholder resolutions against energy companies. This research project collaborated with the Energy Futures Lab, NEI Investments, and University of Calgary.
